Online Love: Ten Rules to Remember

It’s All About Attitude (1/10)

Next Slide

One of eHarmony’s very first employees said he noticed that singles who had a generous nature (“Here is what I have to give to another,” and “I want to share this quality with another.”) succeeded at a much higher rate in finding love than those who held the attitude, “What does he/she have to offer me?” or “I need this and this in a partner.”

...whew! Man, so of these responses are from people so full of mistrust, regret, and FEAR, that the only relationship they will attract will be a duplicate of themselves ("like" attracts "like") and then they wonder what happened.

Wow Bob, Is everything in your life miserable? I bet it is. When we exude negative energy, we receive negative energy. If we exude positive energy, we receive positive energy. You really sound like one of those "Cup is half empty", kind of people. Im sorry about that. I hope you figure it out someday when you grow up.

Tell you what. When you're exuding as much positive energy as I am when trying to meet people and you still fail miserably regardless, you try keeping that smile on your face.

I am getting the message "close match" in the NEXT STEP box. Is it an option or I need to comply. What is the reason for this?

Let us face facts. Any experienced relationship counselor will tell you that the majority of women who constantly complain about men are out looking for Prince Charming and do not typically have the insight to recognize him when he is right in front of them.

Additionally, most of those women are ten times more guilty than men of the alleged transgressions about which they seem to love complaining about.

Face it, we are all looking for someone special which means we are going to have to kiss a lot of female frogs with way too much baggage before we find a true winner. Most of these unhappy, overly-critical, and downright foolish females will end up single forever with their lovely dogs, cats, and other chronically single female friends for company in their rapidly approaching old age.

I am sick of reading this in women's profiles...

"I am looking for a tall, dark, handsome man, who is adventurous, and loves to travel, yet has a steady job. I am looking for a wild and exciting man, but someone I can tame and do what I ask them. I am looking for the "bad boy" but i am also looking for someone my friends and family will like. I am looking for someone who is responsible, yet I like a guy who lives on the wild side.

haha, stupid girls. You don't even know what you want!

Eharmony is suppose to be about finding that special someone. I feel that if I can't be myself by being honest, showing myself as I am most often than not, and judge based on the individual taking their time to get to know you what is the point of being on the site.

Wow where to start on this one????LOL
My god have we all lost touch with reality here expecially Eharmony and its tips.
Lets get with the program here. I for one have to say all theese tips that are given are so out of touch with todays dating society.
Lets face facts folks we all are a materialistic society and well when it comes to showing pictures of ourselves people will see them and make there opinion and views known.
As for being honest well trueth be told people aren't going to be honest about things for they are tired of hearing the backlash they would get from a match.
And well the ones that give the backlash and aren't honesty truely have to look at themselves as a person for they are the ones with the problems.
Thats it for me on this one.

I'm not desperate to meet anyone but it would be nice. Haven't had a date in years! and I'm not a dog! I'm hoping that this site might be more realistic and get rid of the bootiecallers for a nice date since you have to pay a substantial amount of money!Hope we screen out them!!!!!
