I have been lurking the past couple days. And it has been both informative and hilarious. But all the negative "downside" items I have seen posted... I really am rethinking this. Are we allowed to stay on the boards even if we are not paid members?

Well I guess I'm too new to receive matches. And someone posted that it's $60 per month. (Holy Cow). No I'm not paid up. Until today I actually had no inkling that it was mandatory. However, I have seen so many negative posts today - it doesn't encourage me to pay at all. Hundreds of dollars and no returns? Wow. Besides, I don't think EH would want me.

I agree with you. I became involved on a "free wknd" where you can't view or talk to your matches. I have been on it a month now, planned to make an effort and be on it a yr but forget it. They completely ignore the settings pairing me up with individuals in other states, or ten years older than I would like. People don't respond I believe because they lost interest and don't go to the site. I have several men that I am in open communication with who I have now sent my phone number to. I don't have time to constantly go to the site, view, and type. I sent eharmony a request to cancel with an explanation and have yet to hear from them. I believe that we should be able to search for our own matches. I may get lucky enought to find someone with the men who I am communicating with now. They all seem to be great people. Don't give up but do go to another site. And might I suggest a different photo, you know first impressions an all. Good Luck
