Interests: I love living in the country, surrounded by animals, music and nature. I love music with a passion, my expertise being middle eastern dance. I've traveled extensively and long to travel more in Iceland which I love so much. History explains so much and how ultimately, we are all related. Life is so amazing; the whys and wherefores and the meaning of it all. In the end, only kindness and compassion matter in life or perhaps, even in death. and now, the perfunctory: I'm a retired police officer/parking director for New Mexico State University. I work parttime as a dancer in El Paso, TX at the Red Parrot. What fun and profit! I'm a vegetarian; no meat or fish for over 16 years now. I abhore the cruelty of the meat industry. I like being a nobody and maintain a low profile. Keeps one from being kidnapped! Obviously, I have a keen sense of humor and adventure which accounts for my many travels and equally as many clandestine adventures. I speak ghastly French, having failed it twice in high school. However, I manage in Russian, without an American accent due to the fact I learned Slovak before English, when a child. Being raised by Baba and Dede, my habits and mannerisms are old European. Thus I appreciate old world politeness and struggle to understand the insecurities and guilt that many American men display. I have no children by choice as it leaves me free for my next adventure. I'm not religious but spiritual.I consider death to be the next great adventure and sincerely hope I am aware when it is occuring so I can think "WOW! so this is how it is". Rather like lucid dreaming and never coming back. I like people who are not afraid to think and say what they mean. I'm afraid of people who don't think. What have I done in my life? Studied ballet and taught dancing parttime most of my life. Skydived. Horse trekked Iceland, Romania and Greece. Explored Crete, camping on the Libyan sea, listening to goat bells outside my tent in the early morning. And oh.... so much more! What do I fear? Only FIRE (and my brother is fire fighter in NY!!!!) What horrible images are in my brain from my life? I've tried to help broken, dead and bleeding bodies on the interstate pavement in the dark, (do you know what it is like to have your feet stuck to the pavement because you are standing in someone's blood and brains while directing traffic?) working as a cop. I've held homeless dogs while they were being put to death because there were so many of them because no one wants them because so many people are so terribly cruel. I've watched a train run over a 10 year old boys'legs: he didn't even scream; he was surprised. I watched a man scream in agony as fire melted his skin. ..... And so... lighthearted but intense - that is me.
