Music: Rock, including a lot of hybrid music that blends in Okinawan, samba and other types of music. I also like some electronica, Hawaiian, jazz, and a bit of classical. Favorite artists include Van Halen, k.d. lang, Erasure, Neil Young, The Boom, U2, Hamada Shogo, John Hicks, Keali'i Reichel and Kome Kome Club. TV Shows: Sumo on TV Japan; no other TV. Movies: Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Caddyshack, Raise the Red Lantern, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Hard Boiled, After Life, Ong-Bak, Kiki's Delivery Service and The Thing (Carpenter). Books: Most P.J. O'Rourke (even though i skew left politically), American Gods, Years of Infamy, Dave Barry's Complete Guide to Guys, Rendezvous with Rama and Understanding Comics.
