| Interests: | I like traveling to new and exotic places, especially ones off the beaten path. I enjoy learning about other countries and cultures, especially ancient civilizations. In the past, I have enjoyed playing golf, skiing, scuba diving, boating, sky diving, horseback riding and hiking/camping. I am hopeful that I will be able to do most of these activities again soon. I have always wanted to ride in an Indy car, a fighter jet and to go white water rafting if my back will let me! I dine out often with friends; I especially like fine dining and trying new cuisines. I enjoy live music of all types, performed in venues from intimate supper clubs to large concerts. Movies of all types are always enjoyable; I especially like a good scary movie! I try to see Academy Award nominated movies in most categories prior to the Award ceremony. |

The first thing most people notice about me, other than my appearance, is my openness. I work hard at being the best at most of what I do, which, I suppose, makes me a bit of a perfectionist. I retired early due to back problems (surgery) but stay active doing volunteer work in the community, such as the Grand Prix, LB Marathon, Rose Parade and Beach Cleanup. Financial security is important to me; I'm responsible, but I believe in spending money to enjoy life, without too much worry about tomorrow. I have had many misfortunes in my life. My friends and family are amazed how well I have handled those situations, that I am stronger because of them and, as a result, I have been able to help others get through similar hardships in their lives. I love animals of all sorts, especially dogs, cats and horses. I try to stay fit by walking and riding my bike. I am thankful for my wonderful 35 year old son who has a successful career, financial security, lots of good friends and, especially, a beautiful family with two awesome sons of his own. -
