Snick, enjoyed your comments on the "Single Men"... lots of mixed feeling posts there, but as a single dad, I have to say that your post was the most accurate and realistic.

Great that you fired the liars! I could not stand such myself. As for getting physical quickly, that has not happened for me, so I really cannot comment with a realistic perspective. Get the guy you want girl, but just take your time for the whole enchilada. Tommyboy's comments are quite astute.

Well you might want to think what the guys are thinking here. I guy can fall in love with body, mind or soul. Body, being that the sex is so good that is pleasing him to no end and would like to have the rest of it. Mind, being that she is so beautiful she just reals your visual senses to no end. Soul, being that everything about her seems right for you beyond looks and sex. Now if you find someone that turns you on Mind, body and soul, you have that special someone. Although if you first fall in love with the soul then the mind and body are overwelmed. That does not mean that when your dating someone sex cannot happen at anytime, if the chemistry is there, we are adults. The guys your talking about, you have given them part of this and it was probably so good they want the rest, can't blame them can you. If you put that up front that all it was going to be was casual and I assume they were fine with that, then I guess they have to deal with it. I had a relationship like that for a while, just sex, we really did not do anything else outside the bedroom, went out to eat once but we flirted with each other the whole time. That lasted a few months. We sometimes would start Friday night and not leave the bedroom till Sunday, except to eat and maybe move to the couch in the living room after we openned it up into a bed.

I don't know the whole story but I assume that you just had a bad experience with a date or 2 that you thought was a date but considered it just a "hook up" to the guy. If you are looking to date, I agree that "hook up" would be something I would not want to hear from my date. Besides, "hookup" sounds to much like someone wanting only one thing and it's not how you find that special someone. Not sure how close you got with this guy before you found this out. Players do hurt people and they just don't seem to care who as long as they get what they want. Take a step back, regroup yourself and just learn from whatever made you feel this way. If you learn something out of this then you know what not to do next time and what warning signs to look for next. Don't let it get you down to long and don't give up on hope.

SOME of us are serious. I know it's hard to find the right ones, and most of my own matches are so reluctant that they think I am rushing for a relationship. We're all frustrated at times, but hang in there! The right guy WILL come along; just protect yourself, and try to appreciate the journey at the same time.
