| Interests: | I've been a widow for almost 5 years and dating, off an on, the past couple of years, has made me appreciate my husbands good qualities immensely - even more, if possible, then when we were married. Sigh. I have a large yard so I garden by default-I do a lot of hiking with my dog Fiona and also live with 2 new cats, collectively called Couch Kitteh,do fun things with the grandkids and go to as many live music concerts as I can afford. I love ferrets and have had many of them-do volunteer work for the local Ferret shelter as well as the Portland Center for the Performing Arts and Dress for Success. In the winter I like to travel to Costa Rica to house sit, quilt and keep the sump pump running so the basement is not flooded. All in all I'm way fun |

My Favorites
Music: I'm eclectic-Anything live from Classical to Basic Rock n' Roll. Blues, Jazz, Bluegrass, Zydeco. I am, though. a dedicated Dead Head and have been since the 60s. Other than the dead, I enjoy Coldplay, Death Cab for Cutie, Pink Floyd, The Beach Boys, the Beatles, CSNY, Bonnie Raitt....oh well I could go on depending on the genre of music I happen to want to want on my iPod TV Shows: not many though I did caught up in Warehouse 13 and Flash Forward..post fantasy/sifi type of things. I was ha dedicated ER fan though, and usually catch 60 minutes and a daily local news broadcast. Books: I enjoy Diana Galbadon series The Outlander and 7 others, Janet Evanovitch, Almost any mystery, lawyer as hero, Good cop books. Just about anything but the Twilight series of which I read the first book...meh Quotes: Eleanor Roosevelt:"[b]No one can make you feel inferior without your permission.[/b]" More About Me: I love Le Tour de France and enjoy cycling - my dream is to spend the whole tour with a group and bike part of the time around France. I have 6 grandchildren, all of them wonderful handsome clever intelligent and practically perfect in every way...but I don't go on and on about them. Much. -
