  • My Favorites

    Music: Rock, alternative, metal, classical, techno, pop (some), and most combinations of those genres. Like some county, and mostly avoid rap.
    TV Shows: Firefly (screw you, Fox!), Smallville, Lost, Battlestar Galactica, Simpsons, South Park, Family Guy, Futurama. Sadly, that's about all that's worth watching anymore...I don't even own a TV.
    Movies: Star Wars, The Matrix, Pink Panther series (the ones with Peter Sellers), virtually anything with the name "Spielberg" on it, all Pixar films, and too many other great action/comedy/adventure/sci-fi/war movies to list.
    Books: Lord of the Rings, Star Wars series, Harry Potter, DnD books (especially R.A. Salvatore's stuff...Drizzt FTW), Artemis Fowl series, Terry Brook's Shannara series, Eragon books, Maximum Ride books, anything by Michael Crichton, Dean Koontz, and Jim Butcher, Catch 22 and plenty of other classics (NOT David Copperfield or Jane Eyre...terrible books!), oh, and the Bible too. I read too much!

    More About Me: Well, all the basic stuff is covered elsewhere, so I'll elaborate here. I was raised in California until I was 7, and lived aboard on a sailboat for 5 years and a cabin cruiser for 2. I then moved to a condo in the Florida Keys for 7 years, then moved to Miami for high school, and then to Gainesville for college at UF. Had some trouble with college (read: was too lazy and unmotivated to actually attend the classes I signed up for), left UF, and moved to Reno, NV, and attended a CC there for a year before joining the Marine Corps. I've been in the Marines about three years now, returned from OCS last August. I worked at UPS in preload for 4 years during college, and drive a EX250 Kawasaki Ninja streetbike (for the gas mileage...I'm serious). I'm currently a graduate of the University of Nevada, Reno, and graduated in December with a General Studies major focused in communications, history, and political science, and will be commissioned upon graduation as a Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Marine Corps. That's about it.
