The Top Eight Reasons Men Fall Out of Love

by eHarmony Staff

Business in the front. Business in the back. (1/8)

Next Slide

If you’re in a relationship and you’re sharing any of the responsibilities of life (i.e. money, children, a home), it’s easy for your couple’s interaction to be reduced to a series of business conversations. You are business partners, there’s no changing that, but the key is being mindful of when you talk business and when you just relax and enjoy each other. It’s hard to be passionately in love with a person who is always talking about big, serious, important things. Make time for fun and playful conversation to create balance in the relationship.

Next: He sees you more as a mom and less as a lover.

Wow! How did you overlook "Changes in fitness lifestyle"?  If one partner or the other changes diet or fitness habits and gets "out of shape" I think that's got to be one of the leading causes of  "Reasons men fall out of love".  This nation is now leading the world in percentage of obese people; and our rise to that rank has been meteoric.

thats so superficial, and when your old and your looks have diminished who will be there to wipe your bum!!!!! what if your face is scarred for life, how would you like your wife to judge you and drop you because of how unattractive you are, wake up and smell the coffee

I think that there is a BIG difference psychologically between big changes in one's appearance that one has no control over (an accident, or cancer chemotherapy) and big changes in one's appearance that one does have control over (such as obesity). When the latter happens, it can be regarded as that person not caring any longer about the relationship... or, at least, not caring enough to try to diet. I agree that one or the other partner losing attractiveness by becoming fat is a very common reason that love fades in a relationship.

Big changes such as appearance the one does have control over (such as obesity) and when that occurs it's regarded as that individual not caring any longer about the relationship is very immature. There are psychological reasons why an individual may gain weight. It is not always over eating. Some medications that doctors place people on causes them to gain weight. A health situation can cause some individuals to gain weight and that can be very depressing and cause a person to spiral out of control until they seen professional help to elevate the situation. So grow up and stop judging people for being overweight. That's just being mean and ugly. Being mean and ugly is far worse then being overweight in the long run. So be mature and the outside appearance is important, but not all inclusive and that important.

I think we put to much on appearance & weight & judging a book bu it's cover. being over weight does not always mean the person is lazy sloppy & don't care that all they do is eat. Sometimes it is a medical condition which causes it. Such as in my case I have fought it all my life since child hood When people are hard on you because of it you can have all kind's of issues. I went threw starving my self, throwing up, using laxatives, trying different kind's of diet pill's & diet's, I also worked out everyday faithfully went to the Gym everyday aerobics one day weighs the next nothing not so much as a pound. When I hemorrhaged for the 2nd time in my 30's that's when the Dr. finally said hey we think this is the problem. They discovered I have P.C.O.S poly cystic ovarian syndrome which causes me to gain weight I have to work at it harder then the average woman with out medication once they put me on the medication I lost weight. I'm a great mom a good wife & a very good friend. I'm also an excellent Lover. If the men in my life we as superficial they would not of ever been with me & I'm also very pretty. which was often over looked because of my weight. I met my Current boyfriend on E-Harmony we have a great relationship. My point don't be quick to judge look past the outer stuff once in a while & you just might be surprised. Because the sayings are true never get with someone for Money Looks or Status. Because Money spends and can be gone in the blink of an eye look's fade & your status that to can change in the blink of an eye especially if your superficial cause your to busy being self absorbed to notice the so thought of as UN-noticeable or UN-attractive who just might knock you off your high white horse. ;)

I have a friend who is very obese and her husband adores her... It's what's inside the heart that keeps a man attracted. BTW he's fit as a fiddle and faithful to the core... Explain that one... huh!

You should wake up and smell the pizza. Looks play a major part in attractiveness to men in the first place. That's reality. You might as well accept it.

More than one woman I know crash dieted and worked out to lose weight to catch a man. Once he was caught or she thought she had him, she stopping being careful with her diet and gave up exercise. It happens all the time. Then when they gain a lot of weight they can't figure out why their man doesn't find them attractive. It's very simple.

Wow! Thanks a lot for that! That's why men will never be happy! And the sad thing is that also cheat on their beautiful, toned wife or fiancee`!
