From the creators of LOST (one of my top fav shows) comes, what would seem to me, yet another wonderfully thoughtful, engaging, thrilling, visually artistic endeavor.

I finally got to watch the pilot episode tonight and was just curious if anyone else has had the pleasure.

I adore the lore of fairy-tales intertwined with the cold reality of what we know.

I am not typically a TV show peruse-r, but, being the fan of LOST that I am, I had to check it out, and already I am hooked and very excited! Not just for the story, but for how many stories of folk-lore and fairy-tales and the many places they could take this show!

Any thoughts?

ABC's Once Upon a Time's Ask The Magic Mirror - All New Sundays 8/7c

Too funny! It told me I needed a new FB profile pic and I was the "fairest one of all", as if I didn't know I needed a tan! Jeez!

I found this show online. Unfortunately, in episode 2 Rumpelstiltskin said "precious" and now I am craving Tolkien and making unwarranted and unfair comparisons. I may not be able to continue watching it.

Absolutely what I thought when he said it. He even had the crazy troll look about him. Major deja vu.

I'm still enjoying the show, but I am getting the same feeling from this show as I did from LOST, more like watching a very long movie!

Well, I see I am alone on the OUAT bandwagon in this forum. It's a shame, it is as engaging as LOST was. Though I will say it's not for everyone.

Thankfully, IMDB has forums for discussion

Flipping channels and caught a rerun so I thought I'd give my bf the back story. He started drifting when I said the word troll and zoned out completely when I mentioned Prince Charming.

The show is not an easy sell. I don't think you should admit you've ever watched it.

Eh. I watch it weekly. I want it to be better. (Some of the episodes are amazing. Like the ones written by Jane Espenson) and some of them are frustrating to me. I might not be as fanatic about it as I am other things yet I keep watching it! It must be doing something right!
