Has anyone been watching the new series on HBO, on Sundays, Game of Thrones?

Game of Thrones is an American medieval fantasy television series created for HBO by David Benioff and D. B. Weiss, featuring a predominantly British cast.

The series is based on author George R. R. Martin's best-selling A Song of Ice and Fire series of seven planned fantasy novels; HBO's overall series' title is derived from the first novel.

Catchy show.

Actually, I have been watching this, and I really like it. I haven't read the novels, but the show had me hooked from the first episode, which is unusual--I don't really watch much TV.

I LOVED the book series. If you haven't read it yet, I highly recommend that you do...not because there is anything lacking the the HBO series, but because it was just a great read in general.
.
I have been watching them with my boyfriend who hasn't read the series and when I find myself about to explain something from the series to him, a character will usually explain or do something directly related to what I was saying so I think they have done a great job at making it accessible to everyone. It looks like they put some money into this series, it looks really good.

I didn't know about the book. I think the series has a great pace and good editing.

Sounds like just the kind of thing I need to read this summer...so now it's on the summer reading list.

I read the series of books. As far as the HBO series go, I would recommend that if you enjoy the series read the books at some point. There's a few little details that all movies seem to miss that you'll pick up from reading the book.
