I find the comedy of Demetri Martin to be pretty funny. He has a weird take on things that appeals to my warped sense of humor.
Demetri Martin is hilarious!

"Dead pan" is one of my favorite comedy styles, I have to of course bring up Stephen Right I'm lol right now just thinking about him...with the stone face, and low voice, staring at his feet while he says...

"The other day I spilled disappearing ink on my dog............................................... ................he's gone."

LOL!

Yeah, one of my favorite bits by Demetri is that only people in glass houses (trapped in them and can't get out) should throw stones. Much funnier when he does it!

Tim Hawkins!!!

Here's a little sampling: YouTube - Tim Hawkins - "I'm No Rockstar" Trailer HD

He does clean comedy - no cursing or tearing people down, etc. with random song parodies and other stuff thrown in. Hilarious! My family has all the DVDs and we saw him live last month.

I love the really old school comedians.

Favs include;
Bob Newhart
Shelly Berman
Jose Jimenez, aka Bill Dana
Love, love, love the Smothers Brothers!!
And of course, the best of the best--Bill Cosby.

For the most part, I'll take the old school too.

For me: Bob Newhart, Bill Cosby, Buddy Hackett, George Carlin, Steven Wright, Gallagher....

Not too many newer ones (say last 10 years or so) that I like. IMHO, Comedy has become like Major League pitching: over-expansion has diluted the talent pool.

George Carlin, Eddie Murphy, Patton Oswald, and Dane Cook are probably my favorites. I love these guys, they're all really charismatic and just HILARIOUS.

Oh and Steven Wright, too, though I would hardly call him "charismatic"...buy that's why we he's funny, so...

All your choices are funny, but too mainstream for me. My favorite stand-up, I am proud to say, I was a fan of BEFORE The Hangover came out - Zach Galifianakis. His style is unlike anyone else. His shows are more of an event than just a stand up act. He often ends with what is sometimes a very elaborate musical number where he reveals funny jokes on butcher board paper that he flips over as the song progresses. One he did in a Little Orphan Annie dress is hilarious YouTube - Zach Galifianakis singing in a dress.
He has some mock interviews with various celebrities on funnyordie.com. He once came out to a show in 1700s clothes and did stand up jokes as if it really was the 1700s. The guy is a genius.
