Anyone remember the old Bartles & James commercials from the 80s or early 90s? Honest and frank...loved that style... "Thank you for your support".

Another good one was actually a GREAT one in the 1980s for "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints" promotion....the "Julie Through the Glass" commercial of a young husband and wife in a hospital watching their new born baby through the glass in a baby ward...as they carry the baby through the halls to go home, the mother is followed by the future premonitions of her child at different stages of her life. One of the most poignant and sweetest commercials ever.

The commercial I disliked the most was "Head On!!! Applied directly to the forehead!!!" ... repeat another few hundred times for the irritation effect to kick in.

Good day,
LK

I love the commercial that airs before school starts where the dad is back-to-school shopping with his two kids at Staples. Arggh! I can't recall what song is playing (a Christmas one I believe) but the kids are stone-faced and the dad is having a wonderful time!

Can't stand most infomercials that take up 1/2 hour or more airtime that I pay good money for! I often fall asleep with the TV on and wake up in the wee hours to someone repeating the same information over and over and over...

I like the e-trade baby commercial that Lindsay Lohan is suing over. Honestly, she isn't happy unless she's creating drama. "Milka what?" That line cracks me up.

I like the Geico commercial with the talking pot hole, but when they show it over and over again it gets old in a hurry.

I HATE tampon/pad commercials. That is the last thing in the world I want to think about at any point in time, tyvm!

I don't know why....but the talking babies commercials get on my nerves. Kinda creeps me out.

Does anyone else think the talking pothole in the commercial sounds like Brittney Spears? It reminds me of her every time.

I liked the Aflac duck. The original commercial was good -- two guys on a park bench keep throwing bread to the duck in the pond and he finally kicks it back and yells, "AFLAC!"

I think that GEICO has the most creative comericals. I liked the "but it won't save you money on car insurance"

the worse for me is the Bugger King with there plastic headed nut they call a king. the guy should be a court juster.

There was a battery companty who would put a bunch of toys out and claim that each had a different battery in it. after a while the toys would run down and start fallowing over. Ever Ready clamed they were left out and started the bunny.

what is realy bad is I remember the Roy O'Brian ads from Detroit in the 50's. I can stil sing their jingle.

I like the current Geiko commercial where the guy is on the couch w/ the military guy turned therapist, telling him that this isn't mamby pamby land, then offers him a tissue and throws the box at him, calling him a crybaby.

I don't like the Baskin Robbins commercial that plays that techno carp; really grates on my nerves.

I like the drill Sgt. Geiko commecial too. Still find the Kit-Kat candy bar chewing noises commercial irritating, even though they've toned it down some from the first one they did.

Burger Kings commercials have alway been at least kind of irritating. The latest, with the fake flute player is carp.

No one has mentioned the obvious...political ads. Is it just assumed we all hate them? I know I do, and I'm glad we'' get a break here in about 3 weeks.
