My 13 years old brought this up...

She asked me why, in other reality dating shows where the women are skinny, when the show premieres and we are getting "introduced" to the women, it shows her name, age, where she is from and maybe her profession.

BUT
In "More to Love", it added the woman’s weight.

She thought that was "mean". If the premise of the show is that these women represent the "Average", therefore "Normal" sized American woman, why display her weight?
The commercials for the show promulgate the size "2" women on other shows as being "not the Norm" so why not show THIER weight instead?

I also thought it was crazy that the Guy on the show has to be 300 pounds. It’s like saying that an overweight woman's only option is an overweight guy.

And some of those women are like 170 pounds- I don't think that's too bad (I'm only 25 pounds lighter). Are they telling me that a 170 pound female can only attract a 300 pound guy?

Especially since in shows like "The king of Queens", "Still Standing", The Simpsons", Family Guy" etc... It’s a fat guy with a hot, skinny wife.

So the message here is, ladies if you're even a little overweight, you only deserve a fat guy- if you are slim, and a fat guy is interested, you have to date him because women are supposed to judge the "inside".

Men, you can be the biggest slob you want. Women are required to love you anyway although YOU can be picky and still demand a skinny girl no matter how YOU look. AND, unlike women, if you are in shape and a larger woman is interested- you can look at her like she is crazy...

I also hate how the girls on the show are always crying and lamenting their undesirability because of their weight. It seems they started off VERY needy and desperate and are setting themselves up for heartbreak. Many of them have already claimed to "Love" this guy- simply because he gives them attention they aren’t used to. They forget there are 20 other girls there...
They are like puppies in a pet-store window pleading "Pick me Pick ME!"

It’s sad to watch.

Out of the mouths of babes. Good point!

I didn't even think about that! Another good point!

Stop it - It's like you are inside my head!

It is pathetic the way these women act. I am a "full-figured" woman and men of all shapes and sizes approach me because I carry myself with confidence and I don't act like I am not worthy because I could stand to lose some weight. I am just as worthy to be loved as any other woman. The women on that show - the crying, the whining, the "no one will love me because I'm fat, I'm in love with him" - give me a break. They have no self-esteem at all. I am embarrased for them.
