This has got to be the second best fictional show on TV. The Doctor kicks serious A$$. I've watched every episode since season one and I love it.

As it stands right now there is only one Darlect left in the universe that we know of. So how long does everyone think till the Doctor has to fend them off again.

Dang it! I keep missing it. What nights does it come on again? I've never seen it but two friends recently recommended it to me, knowing how much I love sci fi.

It comes on, on Friday night’s right after the two episodes of the spin-off series they created from the show called The Sarah Jane chronicles and immediately preceding Battlestar Galactica. You can buy the DVD’s now of the first 3 or 4 seasons what ever we are up to by now. They are all brilliant. The season finally of the season with Rose Tyler where she leaves the show was so powerful I actually cried.

There will always be more Daleks left. Doctor Who without Daleks or Cybermen or The Master would be weird. There will always be ways for them to come back.

I read that David Tenant will be doing "Hamlet" for the Royal Shakespeare Company, so the next season will be delayed and they'll fill in with several tv movies. I just loved being able to watch two great actors, David Tenant and Derek Jacobi, act together. Where else but in science fiction do you see so many Shakespearean actors sharing so many scenes?

So what do people think of Donna Noble as the new companion? I wondered what she'd be like and was thrilled to see how much she's changed from The Runaway Bride. The scene where she and the Doctor were signalling to each other through the windows while they were trying to spy on the bad guys just cracked me up! And for once, the companion is willing to tell the Doctor to stuff it!

I really like Donna better than I did Martha, mostly because after a while the whole adoration of the Doctor that Martha had got old. I'm glad the writers only kept her on for a sesons and showed a woman stepping away from a relationship she knows will never happen instead of holding out with false hope... though its also good that they put her in Torchwood, I think it will be a better fit.

I just saw the episode with the Ood... wonderful, brilliant foreshadowing. Though I'm sad because rumor has it they're going to cut back on the ammount of episodes they do per season, apparently its getting to be too much for the production staff.

From what I've read, they're going to change staff because of exhaustion and Davies and others will be leaving. The "cutback", as I understand is for next season because David Tenant will be doing Hamlet with the Royal Shakespeare Company, so they're going to just do a limited number of TV movies, then after Hamlet finishes its run, go back to regular seasons.

I was glad that Martha left as well. I liked her at first, then got tired of her being a doormat and just wanting to get involved. I respected the character deciding to leave and I did like her in Torchwood. I like the character, just not her letting herself pine for something she knew would not happen. I think it'd be neat if she were added on to Torchwood for season 3. (The actor who plays Captain John has said he's already been asked to sign, so we can count on a 3rd season for Torchwood.)

I remember when they announced the new companion would be Donna, a lot of people complained, but I felt she grew a lot in the short time she was with the Doctor in Runaway Bride. I think she's great! The chemistry between them is wonderful.

There were two scenes I thought were hilarious in the first episode. The first was when they were both spying on the bad guys and saw each other through the windows and started pantomining to each other, then got caught. I was laughing out lout at that one. The other was when he asked her to come along and he said, "I want a mate," and she said, "You want to mate?!" and started to get mad at him. I think the Doctor has finally met his match!
