Anyone ever seen these? I'm a huge Discovery Channel fan and I never get tired of watching these shows. I like the newer versions with Sigourney Weaver's narration as opposed to David Attenborogh's (sp?) but the photography is amazing. The people who shot these shows caught lots of footage of events and animals never before seen.

The Oceans one in particular is mesmerizing.

Ever seen these? Anyone else into nature shows? Which ones are your favorites?

I own the planet earth dvd set. I love it. I do like the other narrator better. Have you seen Wild Pacific? I think that's what it is. I also own Marty Stouffers' Wild America series.

OOOoo! I love the "Life with" ones; there's one series for mammals, reptiles/amphibians, inverts and birds. They're visually wonderful. And I heart David Attenborogh . I like the walking with the dinosaur series as well. They weren't super informative but they were a lot of fun. (I'm a big zoology nerd).

Just spent $$$ on some of these DVD's; I teach Earth/Space science, and love to use them to teach about our environment. That's why Ecology is part of my username!

Just finished watching the last disk from the set. Very impressive. As a diver I really appreciated the marine life and the deep sea was something to think about.
