Just finished watching the final season of The Shield. All I have to say is, wow. I think it was the best season of them all.

For those who follow the show, what are your thoughts?

I didn't watch it because I was so disappointed the season before the final season. I loved that show for the first few seasons - wouldn't miss an episode. I may get it from Blockbuster and watch. Was it really that good?

The show didn't really appeal to me. It was like a lower budget version of "Training Day" with no sympathetic characters.

I think people liked how gritty it was and all the twists and turns but it lost me early.
