Mary from "Mary Tyler Moore Show."

I would always stick up for myself in my job situation and express my opinion.

Although, I would never be caught saying something like "oh......Mr. grrraaaanttt."

I was going to say Lorelai Gilmore but someone else beat me to it. The fact that she has been thru so much yet has such a sense of humor about life. She made her "quirks" work for her and was not afraid to go against the status quo. Lived for herself rather than for what others expected of her. Loved that show.

My second choice would be Miranda Bailey from Grey's Anatomy - she's intelligent, feisty, witty, yet can be vulnerable too. She's realistic in her "issues" in terms of learning to date again after her divorce, being a single Mom with a very challenging and time-consuming career, etc. She's by far my favorite character on Grey's because she's so "real."
