I have to admit I was hoping Stefan was getting sent home instead of Fabio - but maybe it's better TV with a character like Stefan on board.

Stefan seems like the most skilled chef of the bunch, but I think I give the slight edge to Hosea going into the finale. Carla is the dark horse here - she has done some good things and she is scrappy but there's just something about her...maybe it's the perpetual look of surprise...that makes it hard for me to believe she can really win the whole thing.

I know...Stefan was just acting so cavalier..."I'm the best...I don't need to worry...let me go out and smoke." He definitely feels like it can only be him.

I was so sure Fabio was going to make it...especially after he won the "Last Supper" challenge. I thought that would take him in...but, as we've seen, win one week-bottom three the next.

You know, I think that Stefan and Hosea are concentrating so hard on each other that Carla just might sneak in. I think it's going to be a great finale.

I thought the finale was pretty uninspiring. I was just glad that Stephan didn't win!

Since it's been a while I've already forgotten the exact details, but I believe Fabio was voted out because he tried to put an Italian twist on cajun food and it didn't work for the judges. He ended up being one of the judges for the final meal along with a ton of other famous chefs. On the final episode, Carla's dessert was so bad she didn't even serve it and that killed her. On the recap show, Fabio won the fan vote.

Thanks VB Girl. When it first started I liked Fabio but after a while he got to be kind of one - note (all Italian) and according to the judges not so great at that the last few shows I watched. Seemed like Stefan and Hosea had the talent. Carla was so spotty at times.

It's a good show, but on hiatus now. Not sure when the next season will start. You can probably find reruns though.

I love Top Chef. I'm not a natural cook--that is, I couldn't tell you "This recipe needs X sort of herb to make it better"--but I really got inspired to cook more than my usual 50 cent bowl of penne by watching that show.

And I thought Stefan was cocky...can you imagine what it's going to be like with a whole bunch of established chefs competing against each other? Top Chef Masters starts next week and it should be pretty interesting. Also, they announced that the next season's city for Top Chef will be Las Vegas.
