Next year my father and I will travel not only to Germany to visit with his childhood friends in Northern and Eastern as well as in Southern Germany (where he lived and worked until the year 2000), but also to our familial clan's name-sake village in Luxembourg- from whence his great-grandparents came - and to a city [very near the Luxembourg border] in the French-speaking part of Belgium (a language he also speaks). Then, my father will continue with a Lufthansa flight to Moscow, Russia, to visit friends there for a brief time. (And, yes, he speaks fluent Russian, also.)

If there is anyone among you who wish information about any of these countries, please let us know soon.

Any interest or comments?

I hope you enjoy the trip and that you have current passports! Do you know anyone in those destinations? I once had a pen pal in Germany. Once even had one in King Ludwig's Bavaria.

Brussels and Luxembourg City are incredible. Brussels is somewhat of a mix between southern and northern european cultures I feel and Luxembourg is super clean with much to see and do, pretty expensive as well. Might as well hit Paris traveling between the two if you can.
