So I'm headed to NYC in a week for fun, for four days.

Any ideas of what to see or do? We have tickets for Phantom, as well as the Statue of Liberty, but that's it.

We're at a hotel just at the south part of Central Park.

If you're going to the Statue of Liberty... make sure to go to Ellis Island, as well. It's included in the price of the ferry ticket and honestly, it's much more interesting.

SO many better choices than Phantom - you already have tickets? Go stand in line at TKTS and see whatever is available for half price.
And take the last ferry to Staten Island - the most romantic thing in the world, standing on the front of the ferry at midnight on the journey back, and the ferry turns around so that you are standing in the wind, facing that gorgeous Manhattan skyline. Sigh.....
You can't miss the Met, MOMA and The Cloisters. Vinyl is a great restaurant, lost of fun.

standing in the wind, facing that gorgeous Manhattan skyline...
Ever tried that in, say, January? The trick is to stand/sit out back as the boat heads towards Ecstatic Island; that way you're not getting blast-frozen.

No luck required; most Wall Streeters are nekkid-short!

Anyway...

For some real NYCitement, I highly recommend East New York after midnight.

I sure have....I had frostbite marks on my neck once because I had long dangly metal earrings that were hitting the side of my neck from the wind.

I love the little sliver of garden on LaGuardia Place if you are walking through the Village, and check out High Line Park after cruising the galleries in Chelsea, and definitely walk across the Brooklyn Bridge, or at least to the halfway point.
