I haven't traveled much, but I hope to once I get my degree. So, I will have to travel vicariously through you all for right now.

Tell me, if you had a week and could take a vacation anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?

Central and South America. As a history buff, I was greatly intrigued by the Aztecs, Incas, and Mayans growing up and would love to explore not only their ruins, but the impact they still have on the peoples around their historic lands. I would love to spend a summer for this, and due to the countries involved, make it not only an educational but a romantic adventure as well.

Where do I even begin? There is so much to see and do in this world: I'd love go back overseas and spend a good amount of time in Europe/surrounding countries. I think it'd be amazing to go to Egypt and see the pyramids (but I'd have to take a man I trust- I don't want to get traded for camels! ;-)), and, much like TallGuy, it'd be great to go to Central & South America - especially since I just got done taking a Spanish course in the colonization of that area. I think it's important to not miss the beauty that's in our own backyard, too. I'd love to go to Alaska, Hawaii, the Grand Canyon, Niagra Falls, drive through small towns and explore big cities.

Where are you dreaming of going after you graduate? I'm not sure what your degree in, but I have several friends who are returning to Europe (Spain, particularly, because we're all Spanish majors) to teach English for a year; would you ever consider something along those lines?

Well, my degree will be in Biblical Studies, so I'm of a mind to do some kind of ministry once I graduate, hopefully some that will take me overseas. I would love to go to Ireland, Italy, Australia, India, Germany, Turkey, England.... You are right about some of the sights at home, too. I would love to travel through the mountains in Colorado, see the Northern Lights, the Grand Canyon, I also have a desire to go spend some time in Chicago, and San Antonio was amazing when I was there. Also, the Badlands in South Dakota are amazingly beautiful.

Just an FYI. My husabnd and I travel a bit. We have never been to Europe and there are so many places there we would like to go, but I not only here it can be expensive but its so large that you can't see everything we want to with several trips there. So what we have considered doing is a cruise through the Mediterrian, some have good itineries others not that great and if you keep watching and your schedule is flexiable you can get some good deals. The sights we use for Cruises is Vacations To Go. For example we both wanna see Italy, Greece & Spain, but I also would like to see Morocco, Turkey & there is a 12 day cruise that leaves out of Spain and goes to all of these places for 1 day, 1 day isn't long enough but at least I will get to see more than one place. The great thing about the cruise is all the meals are included & they are usually delicious, so we wouldn't have to spend a boat load of money eating off the ship.

We also use a site called Fare Deals.com for all inclusive packages to places like Mexico & the Carribean. But like they occassionally have packages for Ireland too. They actually ahve a Ireland trip posted right now for like $699 or something insane like that.

But anywho, try looking at those 2 travel sights you might find something that interests you at an affordable price.
