Loret De Mar, which is just north of Barcelona. Beautiful beaches and wonder castles to explore.

Barcellona is the most amazing city, take the city tour only way to get to see everything, takes a whole day, get on and off tour bus, explore then catch the next bus. Enjoy, great shopping, exploring, shoes and oh did I say shoes?

check out the festivals /fiestas - they like to party.
There are water festivals, wine fights, tomato fights, bull fights, etc. etc. Barcelona is supposed to be wonderful but there's plenty around the coast too.

I like travel very much, the most unforgettable journey I had was on the beach in Australia, so amazing and fantastic. I still remember that I bought a piece of bathing suits and a pair of sunglasses for my beach holiday, I purchased my stylish and cool sunglasses on Tom Ford Sunglasses, Oakley, and Marc Jacobs sunglasses in stock for you.. I attracted many eyesights that time, lol.

Make sure you have air conditioning in your room. I went backpacking in Europe a few years ago in July and August. The weather really did keep me from having a good time in certain cities (the cooler the weather, the more I enjoyed traveling). I was in Barcelona for a week in a hostel where we just had a cheap dingy fan and two windows. It sucks when you go to sleep sweaty and wake up covered in sweat. There was no escape! If you can and also don't mind doing this, try to only make accommodations for one night, versus xxx amount of days. I know though since you are going in the summer that it might not make sense to do this. With me I have regrets that I booked things way in advance because I ended up spending more time than I wanted to in certain cities (Barcelona and Amsterdam comes to mind), and not enough time in other places that I would have liked to have spent more time in (Antwerp, Brussels, and Paris).

I also preferred the smaller towns and villages to the cities in Europe generally. I spent some time in Girona and Figureres (sp) in Spain and really had a better time there than in Barcelona.
