Well, we finally did the trip. For all those who I was calling upon for travel tips,thanks, finally made the trip this summer and it's been worth every dollar saved for it.

Man it was a long way to go, but it was worth every mile or kilometre of it. Just before Canada Day ( July 1st) we started out, on Aug 31st. Decided to stay in Banff, Alberta for a couple of days to enjoy being in Banff National Park. Stayed for the fireworks, and left the next day, to make the 8 hour journey to Spokane Valley. Met up with my SO and son there, had a late lunch, and then headed to Kennewick, Washington. Idaho was nothing but Sage brush and a lot of Desert like conditions. But loved going into Washington and into Oregon. The Columbian Gorge was a sight to behold, with Windmills, bridges, water, trains and lots of other travellers. Finally arrived just outside of Salem, on July 3rd, to be celebrating July 4th with family and friends.

Had a great time doing Fireworks. Going to do the same thing next year, hopefully staying on a permanent basis. Looking forward to it.

Will be heading back into Canada first weekend of Sept.
