I live in Osaka City which is about 3.5 hours from Tokyo on the bullet train. There are dojos all over Japan but only a few accept foreigners.

Japan is one of many places I wish to visit one day. I prefer to go to the countryside of Japan and off the beaten path Villages which is where I feel people truly get to see and experience th culture.

Any suggestions on where I could get this experience without all the commercialization or touristy feel. Although I am a toursit I don't necessarily want to go to the normal touristy attractions and cities, although I would like to see those as well.

It is a law now, was it even needed? lol Yes, it is fairly standard even without the law. Most children go to school then go to a cram school when they are not in regular school.

Hi. I am planning a trip to Osaka. When is the best time of year to go? I was thinking around november since air fare is cheap. Would you know if it is easy or not to travel with a 1 year old? Bringing him will determine the length of my stay.

How much are you willing to send on flight tickets. I was looking at prices about 3 weeks ago and the average per person for coach round trip was about $2300 and thats flying out of Atlanta.
