Jackalopes?
seriously, i went to Wichita Falls, TX in June and there were not there. next try is Wisconsin Dells, anyone know if i can find one between there and Omaha (via Iowa and/or Minnesota)?

They're found mostly in one of the other "W" states: Wyoming. It's worth the trip to see them (they can be vicious if spooked, though, so don't get too close!).

ya, we've been to wall drug in south dakota and they were there. i was just hoping wisconsin would be far enough west. (i was amazed that the tx/ok border was without). i plan to go with the old fashioned trap: box held up with stick tied to rope held by me. ("and now we wait").

Umm Wisconsin Dells will not have them, but it is a great place to stay for the weekend! I recommend the Wilderness for a hotel.

ahhh! party pooper!
we are actually camping at a national park in the area.
how about the eastern half of Iowa or the mall of america? (getting desperate now).

You could try the Jackalope Lounj located in The Wicked Hop in Milwaukee. There is a good chance you'll start seeing jackalopes after a few martinis....
