I have vacation time coming to me and people I know keep tell me that I should go on a singles cruise, of course they are all married. Has anyone been on one?

Hi Ladybird50,
I used to do singles group cruises. It's a safe way to take a cruise and there's always the option of having the company doing the group match you with a same sex roommate. That saves you money. Go to Cruisemates.com and find the Singles page. There's a link there to the current year's calendar of singles cruises.

Ladybird, I haven't done this, but my boyfriend did a singles cruise a few years ago and said it was great. The funny thing is just before I started dating him, my girlfriend and I were considering doing exactly this. We never went though. Mostly because I lost my job and couldn't afford it at the time.

Have fun if you go!

Hey Ladybird -
I get emails from a singles cruising site called VacationsToGo.
They have a whole singles section. I haven't gone yet, but would like to, please post if you find one and go, I'd like to hear!

Never did a singles cruise per se, but omygosh, I think everyone should do at least one cruise in their life. I'm just an average woman with average salary - nothing excessive by any means, but after going on my first cruise 2 years ago I can't get enough. I went again last year with my 3 grown daughters and am going again in about a week. Probably should have never done the first one

I wenton DISNEY SHIPS caribean 7 nite cruise. Now u'd thing ALL momsand dads n babies..NOT TRUE! Childcare on board for single moms/dads n the bars get hopping at night, yo may meet someone and next morning meet him n family for breakfast, kids willplay..IF NO KIDS..grandparents also take care of kids for a cruise wek! I met a very nice man onboard, but my son was younger and became very jealous! AND I had 6 family members and three cousins for hi m to pay with! Carvival also offers NICE cruises...and now try Princess cruise line..they all re reasonable depending on time, and have excell reputations.

I've been on several cruises with someone and alone and found it a lot of fun. I'm going on a cruise this month by myself and an looking forward to it you should try it. I travel by myself all the time and like it that way. You'll have a lot of fun if you let yourself have fun. You'll make new friends and enjoy yourself. If you don't like it well you don't have to do it again. Try short cruises by yourself something like a 7 day cruise then if you like it go on longer cruises. Once you have cruised you'll never travel any other way. So have fun and enjoy yourself.

A single cruise is a fun time. You get to meet a lot of different people from around the country/world. I didn't meet anyone romantically - wasn't looking. It was just fun to hang out, eat, swim, etc. with others like me. Also, nice to not have to pay to take my grown children with me just so I could go on a vacation.; I recommend going. :O)
