I need to make myself go to be at about 12 to 1 AM every night. I have been watching NBC for coverage at night. I am so excited about the swimming and Phelps gold medal count. Also, the Chinesse gymnastics team is soo not legal, they do not look like they are at least 16 which is just wrong. They seem to be using younger girls and they won the gold medal. What can anyone do it the country issues their passports and have an interest in making them look legal (16) so that they can compete? Who inChinawill be thewistleblower. Anyone? Wecould have won gold if the competition was legal, but we will never really know now.

Well I have run several times this week. I logged in 2 one day and my ankle started bugging me. So I rested one day and ran 3 the next. I ran 4.5 today and probably will run 3 tomorrow. I have a race o Saturay and I think it is a 4 miler. Should be fun! I hope to "medal". Not a gold, mind you. Races get medals by times and age categories. I hope there are not that many faster women arounf my age there.

I will probably not watch so much over the weekend, since I will attend a Worldvision event about the Aids pandemic in Africa. It helps me give a perspective.

I enjoy watching the Olympics because of the variety of sports you get to see outside of the typical American sports. So far I've enjoyed watching swimming, gymnastics, rowing but I am so sick of beach volleyball!!!! I hope Chicago wins the 2016 bid for the summer Olympics so I can fulfill my dream of seeing an opening ceremonies in person.

Go Teams USA and Canada!!!!!!!!

I've been watching mostly because I've been caught up in the Phelps phemominon. That was amazing pure and simple.

I was disappointed that Triathlon didn't make the broadcast TV schedule. I watched it on their Internet feed which was o.k., but it's disappointing for the sport that more people didn't get to see it.

Emma Snowsill (AUS) destroyed the competition in the Women's race - awesome performance by her. Then Jen Frodeno (GER) with a tremendous sprint to take the Men's race the next day! Great stuff and it's too bad that only the die-hards who found it on the Internet feed got to watch.

I'm addicted and my sleep schedule is suffering. I cant remember an olympics, even when I had the time to watch (!) that I've been more interested. The Phelps story helps - he's simply amazing and has done wonders for some US Pride. I've been watching swimming, rowing, gymnastics, indoor volleyball and now track. I definitely agree with the earlier post that the Chinese gymnasts are too young. The NYTs found PROOF that at least 2 of them are 14. The only reason why the US Gymanstics association didnt file a formal complaint was for fear of retribution during judging. It's so sad; it completely destroys the purpose of the Olympics. I've also been interested in some of the stories, like the double amputee runner and the swimmer from South Africa that is swimming in the open water competition (tonight!) with only one leg. It is absolutely inspiring. NBC has had WAAAY more coverage than previous years (I believe the number is around 3600 total hrs) and their streaming service has been far better than anticipated.
