Many people love sport ... do you enjoy sport to the point of wanting to read an autobiography from one of your favourite sports people?

I do!

To date, I have only read autobiographies of Aussie cricketers.

My favourite is Line and Strength, the story of Glenn McGrath.

I like it best because of the dedication and determination he showed in order to get the top. I like being 'let in' to the life of someone famous (well, famous here!) and learning where they came from and what commitments and sacrifices were made to get to where they are today.

I got a sense of a positive nature reading his story, and I think this is shown mostly strongly in his attitude to healing (when he had injured himself) and the setting up of the McGrath Foundation; and continuing with the work of funding breast care nurses in rural locations, after the loss of his wife to breast cancer. (Although his wife dies after his book is published.)

I also got a really strong sense of someone who stayed true to himself.
