Funny how Americans want to be successful and then when an organization is, the temptation is to hate them. When I grew up in the Bronx, there were no other teams, the Giants and the Dodgers moved to California...The Mets were learning to play. But the Yanks were lousy in the 1960s and part of the '70s...George went too far and in creating a successful team sacrificed the interests of average fans to cable and corporate sponsors! May the best team win and statistics don't always it!

Being a die hard Twins fan, my hatred for the Yankees is at an all time high right now, just like it is every year after getting swept first round.

The reasons I hate the Yankees are many, but they boil down to these few: People like A-Rod and Teixeira are so full of themselves and their own agenda that they have lost respect for the game. (A-Rod's episode about calling off fielders this season. A-Rod's episode walking across the pitchers mound. Teixeira trying to start fights when there is minor contact during close plays at first). Its pathetic.

Yankees payroll: $206,738,000
Twins payroll: $90,309,000 (up from $65,000,000 last year)
This means that, like stated by BFC, it doesn't matter if they get an injury. They bring in another. Twins lose MVP canidate Morneau to an injury, the move players WITHIN their roster until they find a line up that works. The Twins wanted to go after Clif Lee, couldn't afford it. I'm so glad that Texas got him over the Yankees, but it just goes to show they can go after whoever they want with no fear of breaking the bank.
FUN FACT: Twins tickets in brand new stadium, first season: $11- $82. Yankees tickets: $23- $300. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? So to take a family of 4 to a ball game is gonna cost you $100, not counting food, drinks, or parking. What a joke.

The last reason I hate the Yankees is because even out here in South Dakota, there are damn near as many Yankees fans as Twins fans. They are like 1400 miles away. Most of these people are huge bandwagon fans and really don't know a lot about baseball, but walk around in Yankees gear talking trash.

There. I'm glad I got that off my chest.

So excited the rangers are going to the world series. Yes it made it sweeter to beat the Yankees in the playoffs.

You surely were not referring to me, my dear? Die-hard. Dodgers.

Greatly looking forward to watching the Rangers beat the Giants. (My 2nd most hated team.) lol.

Why do I hate any teams? I don't know. I just do. (Being a dodger fan has not a lot to do with my Giant hatred. That's more based in I can't stand watching Aaron Rowen (sp?) bat because his stance is so strange. And they seem like kind of an average team, with amazing pitching.)

I fast-forwarded most of the playoff games so have not really seen the Rangers play. Will be fun!
