I can't believe how well he hid his true personality for so long.

There are way too many stories coming out about his habit of, at the very least, touching women in public.

These are the same type of stories that came to be known about Mike Tyson.

Eventually this will catch up to him (as it did Tyson) & ruin him.

Can't say that I'd be disappointed if it does.

*yawn*

Ben Who?

Oh yeah the guy in Pit.....right.....well, I guess he did the same thing wrong that tiger and tyson did.....he got caught. =)

I'd have to agree with you, he's never really been the ambassador to the sport that other guys have been, If he disappeared, I wouldn't miss him, but I don't live in Pit, so no skin off my back.

Nah. Tiger's not comparable. He is a prince in comparison.

He never had a reputation for groping strange women in public like the other mo's did.

Tiger would actually wait to find out if there was some interest first. A novel approach really.

I only know of one story that fits that description. What are the others?

I'm a Steelers fan, and I'm very concerned that Ben may turn out to be the kind of guy I DON'T want leading our team. But the only story of him touching women in public ended with the D.A. deciding there was not even enough evidence to press charges. I'm clearly biased, but in my opinion that means it's just as possible that the accuser was being deceptive.

Yes, it's also possible that Ben totally abused this girl; I'm not so blinded by team loyalty that I would rule that out. But given the facts of the case -- very few of which having been made available to the public -- I think it's a bit extreme to say that he's got a "habit".

Michael Jordan, use to "date" three women in my previous company. They all knew of each other too!

There were several (12 to 15) women that came out with their stories about him making physical moves on them.

It isn't really uncommon for college football stars to randomly kiss & grope women in bars. Many of those attempts likely resulted positively for them. He seems to think that he is still in college. (Not that it was even OK then). Unfortunately many of those players were slapped on the wrist & sent on their way...some to the Pros.

The women that did make comments recently let it go at the time because it wasn't something that would be worth their time. They felt that it wasn't aggregious enough to put in the effort. They see 2 cases come out & start to think that their experience was not a one time, no huge deal kind of thing.

Tyson did that constantly but only many years later did he get in trouble for his behavior.

I am not surprised that there was not enough evidence to make any kind of criminal case. That is usually how it goes. He is playing with fire though & will get burned if he keeps doing the same things or even takes it further.

I do actually believe that Ben has a habit of feeling up women that he has barely spoken 3 words to. That may be all that he has ever done but it is quite dirtbaggish. Rarely gets prosecuted criminally in reality.

This is Ben's wake-up call. He finally got caught doing something he's probably been doing all along. With each Super Bowl ring he becomes increasingly more brazen. The Steelers do not put up with that mess. I wouldn't be surprised if he gets traded.

I think Ben is just a young, dumb, rich kid who thought he could do whatever he want, whenever he wanted. The real test comes now. He has been in trouble, and being ridiculed... and almost arrested for it. If he continues to do stupid things like he has been, he WILL be arrested and most assuredly the Steelers will dump him from the team...they were talking about trading him this time without any formal charges. Only time will tell if this was a wakeup call for him, or if it is something he can't change and will ruin him.
