I have no problem with the fact that Belichick & the Patriots went for 4th & 2.

It was risky but the fact that they actually got the first down does make that a good, aggressive call.

Even with bobbling the ball for the slightest second Faulk caught the ball while still standing straight up. That was a pretty bad call. A hugely bad call because it was a game changer.

I will buy that it is not a good idea to leave the game in the hands of an official making a call so I can see a slight knock for that. Being a Pats fan I cannot second guess it.

I like the way they played & like the attitude & like their prospects going forward.

I will clarify this with the fact that I see no scenario in which the Pats do not make the playoffs easily so it really is just a regular season game.

Mentally they know that they can beat anyone. They outplayed the Colts & in my mind won the game. The standings won't matter for either of these teams.

It could have home field implications but I am OK with that as I think that they can beat anyone, anywhere.

As a Dolphins fan, it is my sworn duty to hate the Patriots. Any decision Belichick makes to help them lose, I'm all for it.

But looking at it objectively as a student of the game, I really don't have a problem with Belichick's decision. Peyton Manning is the most dangerous player in the NFL. My Dolphins witnessed his magic firsthand earlier this season, when we had the ball for over 45 minutes and still manged to lose to him. There was no reason to believe that Tom Brady and his offense couldn't get those two yards. And the chances were more than iffy that Peyton Manning will beat you with 5 seconds left or 50 seconds left.
