Well, Brett's back, and we all knew it was coming. He spends his summers training near his home with a local high school football squad. There's a rumor going around that he retires this way so he doesn't have to put in the summer practices and spring training with the NFL boys. But honestly, it doesn't seem like he knows what to do with himself outside of football. It's been a long time, and it's all he knows. But people were talking that since all the local boys look up to him, he could have a great future in motivational speaking.
Yes I believe he would make an EXCELLENT motivational speaker, especially considering all he's been through.

It is so complicated, ya'll, and it doesn't even have to be.

And at heart, he still seems to be a hometown boy. I just saw pics that he took with the team he has been mentoring, and he's never forgotten where he comes from. That's not often found. Very refreshing.

I'd forgotten about this quality of his. Thanks for reminding me why I admire him in the first place.

I've lost a lot of respect for Brett Favre, but I certainly don't deny that he's done some good things. But these athletes still have crosses to bear, and Favre is no exception. He's tarnishing his legacy with all of these comebacks, but I'm sure nobody will care about that if he takes the Vikings deep in the playoffs or gets them a Super Bowl.

So...I happened to watch the end of the Vikings-SF game on Sunday. I couldn't help but smile when Favre made that game winning TD pass. The look he had on his face as he watched from the ground said it all. Pure joy.

That's an interesting point. Maybe, after all the drama and speculation and "will he/won't he", that's what it's all about for him? Maybe the competition gives him something he can't do without and can't give up.
