So who ya got?

I'm thrilled about the Magic (I maintain my U.S. residency in Orlando), but I'm going with the Lakers, since they're a more seasoned team who's been to the Finals recently. And Kobe is Kobe.

I was expecting the Cavs in the East, since the Celtics were so burdened by injuries ... surprised to see the Magic still alive.

I suppose if they can upset the Cavs, they can upset the Lakers. I haven't been over the figures to make a good judgment regarding the outcome, but I'll hope the Magic pull it off because I am anti-Kobe by nature.

I saw Kobe play his last high school game in Philly. He's a great, great player. Though he models his game like Jordan, he doesn't have Jordan's likeability. But he's just plain good. I agree with you, if the Magic can upset the Cavs they can upset the Lakers. If LeBron doesn't make that miracle shot in Game 2 that series would have been over long ago. The Lakers have a lot of depth, but Dwight Howard is a beast and he's complemented by some of the best pure shooters in the league. It should be an exciting series.

If not for but the difference of a single point during any of several instances (the Celtics/Magic series had what ... two OT games, one double OT, and one triple OT?) it could be the Celtics again ... le sigh ...

The early playoff series were great, including the Celtics/Bulls. If I recall, the Celtics were keeping it close last year too. Regardless of who takes the title, the questions about the Celtic's success with a healthy KG will linger through the off-season.

Tonight's game was better ... MUCH better ... but Orlando still seems to be playing naively. I agree completely with the announcers about their lack of ferocity in taking advantage of fast-break situations.

Lewis was brilliant ... I hope he continues.

PS: Did you see how Kobe reacted upon reaching the bench after his regulation-ending shot was blocked ... not a happy camper ...

I'll go with the Lakers. They have an advantage over Orlando across the board. As much as people compliment Dwight, they should take a minute and look at his opposite number, Gasol. Dwight is arguably the best defender in the game, however, Gasol is also good in defense only that he has a lower foul rate..Secondly, Gasol is a frequent three point shooter..which is a plus.

The lakers have the experience, they have been in these situations many times...they are used to the pressure, Orlando have not and when they have, i.e 11 times in their history, they have won on only one occasion.

I haven't even talked about Kobe yet! Kobe is playing better by the day and he'll be very tough to defend against, but again his experience and a Coach who knows better than any other coach how to win games by his side makes this a one sided affair in my books.

It just so happens am a laker fan, so i'm pretty confident in a convincing win.

Both Lewis and Turkoglu were great last night. I'd like to believe the Magic have gotten their "sea legs" now and will make a stronger showing in Orlando.
