(...and not to be difficult) Isn't "controlling your destiny" an oxymoron?

It's a newer concept, since there are no more burning bushes or golden ladders. Listen to the Universe and choose among the host of destinies shown to you. That is your method of control.

I am still without the time to elaborate further on the original topic, however I have to ask you to clarify the above.

I think I'll let someone who understands it write something. I'm out. I was being flip about a topic that can be discussed in many ways and is a question of general struggle and interest.
