Wow, it's pretty sad to see this thread go way off topic into hateful arguments. I'm a Christian and I gotta say I'm kinda horrified by the way we're mostly being represented here...seriously people...hatred and personal attacks aren't in the spirit of Jesus!
Back on topic to the thread, I dated a non-Christian friend of mine for about a year and a half. In the end I realized it just wouldn't work out because of our differences. I loved, and still love, him and care about him very deeply and it was one of the most heartbreaking things I've ever gone through. I pray for him and we're still friends but I realized I just couldn't do it and stay true to who I am as a follower of Jesus. Tough decision despite knowing it was the right one and it took me a long time to do.

Thank you for sharing the above, and for being civil, and non-judgemental about it as your Lord and savior would want/expect you to be.

In my religion we worship the hawk. If I only tried to date women with the same religion I'd have a hard time finding someone.
It may be a difficult task, but that doesn't make it a bad idea.
If your date worships... wombats, when you have children you're going to have a difficult time agreeing what to teach them. You'll each want them to know "the truth". Besides, do you want to live with someone who's constantly trying to convince you to change your beliefs so you don't spend eternity in a ... fiery pouch... or worse, believes it but doesn't care?

In my particular belief system, we invoke the spirit of Wotan by decking our homes with evergreens and other pagan observances around Dec. 25th. I'm blessed to have found someone who also believes in such neopagan practices. There are not many out there who do!
