Non-being is a mirror, the world an image, and man
Is the eye of the image, in which the person is hidden.

Thou art the eye of the image, and HE the light of the eye.

Who has ever seen the eye through which all things are seen?

The world has become a man, and man a world.
There is no clearer expalnation than this.

When you look well into the root of the matter,
He is at once seen, seeying Eye, and thing seen.

The Holy tradition had declared this,
And 'without eye or ear' demonstrated it.

Thanks for posting this.

Who was it that said no matter how far you push with your own mind to understand a thing someone else has pushed even further?

This is really “out there” so hang on to something concrete.

Right now all we are aware of is mankind, the world we live in, and our universe. No one has really imagined anything beyond that. That is what the phrase, “The world has become a man, and man a world,” means to me. Mankind and the things we are preoccupied with is not all there is. Just because we are aware a certain thing exist doesn’t make it accessible. Just because we are not aware a thing exist doesn’t mean that it is inaccessible.

Have you ever wondered why you were born into the life and the reality that you now possess? Why wasn’t your “consciousness” contained in a different body, in a different time and place? Why do you see through the eyes that you see through now? Why weren’t you an angel? Or for that matter, why wasn’t your consciousness the one that said, “Let there be Light?” How do you know your mind wasn’t there when that phrase was uttered? Perhaps it was present and the illusion of self or separation is a side effect of putting a finite memory into infinite consciousness.

Do you really think that the minds of Einstein and Abraham Lincoln were any more gifted than yours or were they simply more open, channeled, and imaginative? What astounding incredible world changing things could your mind discover or create if you were open to the possibility?

Does this poem remind you of anything written in the bible?
