This song fills my soul and is how I try to live my life. Even when I know that things may not turn out as I plan, or may not be within my control, I do the right thing anyway. Approaching things that way leaves me with no regrets, and with hope for the future.

The song was inspired by Mother Teresa's poem called "Anyway."

(just heard Lauren Alaina sing it on Am Idol a week ago- impressive!)

It's a good reminder that Mother Theresa wasn't immune to the same struggles & frustrations we all can face in our desire to do good & serve God...

Great song and poem. I like the part in the video where you could see what the people were thinking, dreaming, and praying about. We are all the same on the inside and we all just want to be loved..

I don't do these things to "serve God." I just do them because they are the right thing to do.

Even if the results may not be what I'd hoped, I just always set my mind to do the right thing, anyway.

...this has helped me heal when a relationship I wanted to work did not, and I felt abandoned. I know that I did the right thing by loving them anyway.

Thanks everyone for this poem and the matching song. I agree that even Mother Teresa was very human at times. She also physically suffered too. I finally saw her feet at her funeral, and I was amazed that she walked as well as she did. Her feet were deformed with bunions(and probably arthritis too). Since I have had my own bunions-I know just how painful they are. And I don't think she ever complained about her physical problems, and/or limitations. I feel that she is a shining example of God's love, and how to share it with our fellow human beings.
