Let's say I make you an offer. My offer is this:

I'll pay all of your medical bills the rest of your natural life. Not only that, if you have any children, I'll make sure their health is guaranteed for the rest of their natural lives as well - assuming they accept my offer as soon as they're able. On top of this, I'll throw in a guarantee that if you take my offer, you'll exist in utter harmony and peace when your physical body dies....and you'll be re-united with all the your loved ones (provided they accepted my offer as well) when you die as well in this really cool place where no one is ever unhappy, never experiences pain and everything is just generally groovy forever and ever.

All I ask in return, is that you love me with all your heart and soul and never, ever question anything I do, no matter how odd or atrocious it might seem to you. Ever. Because, you see, I play by a different set of rules than you do. Even if you don't really understand my reasons for doing things, you just have to take it on faith that I do the things I do for a good reason....and because, after all, I really do love you and want the best for you. Now, you need to understand that I know what's in your heart and every thought you ever think so it's possible to offend me in an almost endless number of ways with the things you think, feel and say.

So, watch yourself because you don't want to be sinning against me....that'll make me angry. You don't wanna make me angry. I have this handy book you can refer to that will guide you in following my rules....there are rather a lot of them and they're somewhat confusing at times and often contradict one another. If you like, you can just follow and tout the rules that seem to suit you best....most everyone who believes in my book does that anyway so it's all good. Just keep reading it and have faith....you'll catch on eventually.

So, there's my offer. Now, if you don't accept my offer, I'm going to shoot you right in the head. Or, if it's really a bad day at work, I'm gonna wait till you die then torture you for an eternity in all manner of horrible nasty ways, cuz that's how I role when you reject me. Just remember that I love you and that there are reasons for the things I do even if you don't understand them.

Let's not be taking all day to decide on this offer either. Can't have you using the intellect I gave you to actually think for yourself....that might offend me. I get kinda angry and vengeful when I don't get what I want. Did I mention that you don't wanna make me angry?
