Yes. Pat's really gone overboard here. But it's a good example of an over-zealous Christian and how his remarks have sullied our real hope for non-Christians. First of all, Pat is a human and has made a mistake - it should not over shadow a life time of good works in Christ's name for The Glory of God and the salvation of all souls. God is merciful and forgiving. And the good news is that when we repent and confess our sins, He will forgive us (including His son Pat). A Christian's job is to teach about The Merciful Lord and bring people into the Christian fold. Please look into your heart and remeber that Jesus said, "Let him that is without sin cast the first stone.", then remember the story of The Prodigal Son. Oh, wait a minute, isn't this a good example of why we are Christians?

Yes Pat Roberson's remarks like this make it harder for the rest of us who are working hard to get people into heaven. There was a tower that fell in Jesus day, Josephis talked about it in one of his wrightings, Hearod had killed some Jews when they were making a secrfice. Someone came to Jesus and asked him if these people were worse sinners then any oneelse He told them no but if they did not repent they would all like wise parish. The Bible states that it rains on the just and the unjust alike. So what does that make Pat. Don't get me wrong sin does have it's consequences but it is more in the line of a girl has unwise sex and ends up with VD or some thing along that line. I know that what I am about to say will get some people stured up but hold on and see what my ppoint is. There are some people running around this country yelling that homosexuals can't get into heaven and that they are condimed with out hope. Where does that leave me when I try to explain to someone that God loves tham and wants to have them in heaven and to heal the hurt and pain that they have suffered and take a way there sin even if it is homosexuality. It leves me with the person who needs the help looking at me like you just hate me and are judging me. I know severial Homosexuals and I do not know any one else who needs the love of Jesus more just to be rid of the pain that so many have suffered. I have seen so many who have preached exactly the opisent of what the Bible teaches it is no wounder so many people object that christians are hypocrits.

I'm fairly certain earthquakes are caused by a varying shifts or plate tectonics, not by supposed "pacts with the devil"...

Pat Robertson is cuckoo for cocoa puffs.

When does Pat Robertson pay for his pact with the devil?

The spiritual structure of the yuroba based religions (Voodoo is one of them and the prevalent form in Haiti) does vary a bit in the particulars. Voodoo itself can create light or darkness it's own way, sorta the way fundamentalists does.
To say that it's about a pact with the devil, that's a bit misguided. If so the homes of politicians would automatically be converted to "Mini gateways to hell" and satan would have a perma-timeshare on the white house since the founding of the country.
