Why would God have given humans a sense of humour if he didn't have one Himself? A humourless God seems very austere. Humour doesn't have to be coarse, vulgar, profanity-laden, etc. I think a lot of things in creation are funny. Wouldn't God want to see the people He created happy and laughing? Just because the Bible doesn't say that God laughed like a hyena, I don't think it means He's never cracked a smile in the whole span of time.
I agree god must have a sense of humor because we are made in his image. But I must say vulgar and profanity-laden humor cracks me up.. I have a pretty bad mouth myself sometimes.... lol

A Southeren Baptist pricher from GA was invited to Mane to preach a revival. As most of these preachers do they make a remark like "you know how we Southeren Baptist love our fried chicken" A man in the back of the church turned to his wife and told her that no matter what he liked he was goiong to eat the lobster the had prepaierd for him.
Ok I htought it was funny.

OK, scripturally, this is my fav...1Sa 5:6, He afflicted them with tumors....in the KJV it is "emerods" which means boils/ulcers of the anus, piles, which in turn means....hemmorhoids! And so the Philistines when they're sending their guilt offering with the return of the Ark, send golden tumors! too, too funny.

And in personal life, years ago my husband & I were looking for a church home and some friends suggested we try their church which was more than 2 hours away. We went the once and that was it because he didn't want to travel that far. Not more than 2 months later, he is doing pulpit supply, and I of course tag along, and where do we go? but to a place more than 2 hours from home. He filled that position, each week, every week, for 6 months or more. THAT is funny.

How about the fact that, as we men age, we lose hair on our heads, but gain it everywhere else.

I can't be the only one who finds giraffes funny. They can't lay down! I can't help but giggle when I think about the logistics of a giraffe. Long legs, long neck = a lifetime of standing up. They even sleep standing up. lol

I kind of feel sorry for them too. Their legs must get awfully tired.

There is still beer, you just can't talk about it in front of others, and it is best if you drink at home.

Jacksonville, FL is my hometown. I believe that may be my childhood church you are referring to, acelticsteve! If it is, I knew that couple! Yes, they did commute back and forth from Savanna, GA every Sunday!
