Does your religion really reflect your beliefs? Or, do you not belong to a religion and would like to know which ones are compatible with your beliefs?

Take the Belief-O-Matic quiz! Despite the funny name, it really does provide insight as to which religions do, and don't, match your beliefs. Even if you don't consider yourself a "religious" person (or "spiritual but not religious"), you may be surprised at which groups believe similarly to you.

If you like, please share your results here and whether they match what religion you already belong to or whether you found some surprises.

This is a very useful site, and I hope some folks will go try the quiz, WW. It's well worth it.
For the record, it rated me as "98% liberal Protestant"....considering that I'm a pastor, it would have been rather embarrassing if it hadn't!

Actually, it had been a while since I took the quiz, so I just took it again. I am a Unitarian Universalist, and it scores me at 99% agreement with those beliefs. I don't really identify with Neo-Pagans, though I realize my beliefs overlap theirs a lot. I remember the first time I took it, years ago, I scored a much higher correlation with Reform Judaism than this time around (I was dating a Reform Jew and scored higher in that regard than he did... he went on to use this quiz as the subject of a Youth Group session at his synagogue.)

So.... What are your results? Do they reflect the denomination that you identify with?

Your Results

The top score on the list below represents the faith that Belief-O-Matic, in its less than infinite wisdom, thinks most closely matches your beliefs. However, even a score of 100% does not mean that your views are all shared by this faith, or vice versa.
Belief-O-Matic then lists another 26 faiths in order of how much they have in common with your professed beliefs. The higher a faith appears on this list, the more closely it aligns with your thinking.

1. Neo-Pagan (100%) 2. Unitarian Universalism (99%) 3. New Age (95%) 4. Liberal Quakers (93%) 5. Secular Humanism (88%) 6. Mainline to Liberal Christian Protestants (78%) 7. Mahayana Buddhism (72%) 8. Taoism (65%) 9. Theravada Buddhism (65%) 10. Reform Judaism (63%) 11. New Thought (62%) 12. Scientology (61%) 13. Nontheist (59%) 14. Orthodox Quaker (52%) 15. Christian Science (Church of Christ, Scientist) (51%) 16. Baha'i Faith (49%) 17. Sikhism (40%) 18. Hinduism (38%) 19. Jainism (37%) 20. Orthodox Judaism (31%) 21. Mainline to Conservative Christian/Protestant (27%) 22. Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormons) (27%) 23. Islam (25%) 24. Seventh Day Adventist (22%) 25. Eastern Orthodox (17%) 26. Roman Catholic (17%) 27. Jehovah's Witness (10%)

Well 89% Islam is not bad for a "newbie" like me....and Orthodox Judaism 96% is understandable...you can't be born and raised in Long Island, NY and not be a little Jewish ; ) and besides the ladies cover similar to us and are modest in thought and behavior as we are supposed to be but Sikhism 100% is way out there especially that key answers I inputted were very far from their intrinsic belief system. This quiz is faulty and more importantly some of the questions are not worded well. But I do like the fact that they give you background on all types of religions...it's interesting to know where people are coming from. Trust me....you can't be 89% Muslim and then 100% Sikh....too far off the spectrum but I accept the quiz for what it is...to expand your awareness of others.

Here's another one...
Quiz: What Kind of Christian Are You?

The following "diagnostic" quiz will attempt to pigeonhole you, reducing you from a complex, nuanced person to a simple caricature. We obviously don't pretend that this is scientific, and, to be honest, part of the goal is to have some fun. But there is a serious point here, too: One's approach to the Bible reveals a great deal about one's approach to religion generally. More so than denomination, one's attitude about who Jesus was and what the Bible is can define an individual's spiritual type. So we hope that in addition to being interesting, this quiz will help you learn something about yourself. At the end of the quiz, we'll offer you the opportunity to complain about the quiz to others who have scored similarly.

Quiz: What Kind of Christian Are You? - Beliefnet.com

It pigeonholes me as a fundamentalist - because I take the bible literally.

This survey had the Mormon faith topping my list. I find this quite interesting, as I am not Mormon, nor do I accept the teachings of the Mormon faith.
