I checked out this thread, and just like I thought, a lot of folks say No. Makes since to me. If you can't maintain a commitment to your God... strange to think that you could maintain a committment to a mere mortal.
Why would one commit to any one of the supposed invisible "gods" or "spirits" (Google the term "big list of gods" for list of thousands) that cannot be detected instead of establishing a relationship with real people that can be shown to exist in the real world?

Wait.....is it converting if you didn't have anything to start with?

I would not convert for love.

I would only convert if I was convinced that the other religion was "more right" than mine. Obviously, no one religion can have ALL the answers, but if you can convince me that your faith-system is closer to the truth than mine, then obviously, the rational choice would be to convert!

(Hmmmmm, is my engineering background showing?)

Converting to a religion because of Love is saying the religion isn't important and shouldn't even be a issue.

No, I wouldn't convert, no matter how great the man would seem to be. Neither will I date a guy that's not of the same faith. It took me many years to realize the reasons for why it's best to join one of the same faith.

I've found the truth, and that's enough for me. I do not want a guy to convert for me either, as it would be of the total wrong reasons, if one accept Christ into ones life, one do it solely for one self, because one wants too, not for others.

I'm non-denominational, but that doesn't mean I would date just any type of denomination within Christianity, too many denominations pick out what suits them the best in the Bible, and leave the rest or the serious parts behind.

No. I'm committed to Christ. I came to this faith as an adult and am growing in it every day. I am seeking God first, and all other things must flow out of that.
