You rail under the auspices of the US constitution for freedom of religion and speech, yet you don't like it when those tenets are used in ways you don't approve???
Be careful. BJ might put a lawsuit on you for talking smack.

In response to the title of this thread..

Job 37:7 KJV says "He sealeth up the hand of every man; that all men may know his work."

The answers are all in the palms of the hands, they are sealed. No one has an open mind and no one is an athiest..according to this verse, according to God.

OMG! I like this. OK, OK, let me calm down. If you have an actual interest in learning and looking into religions get into philosophy. Specifically philosophy of religion. You have to navigate away from stupidity like everything else, but there are many no nonsense answers. Find out for yourself, no need to listen to people who just want to discredit what you choose to believe. Just keep in mind you can be wrong and if you're just starting down this road, you will be wrong, often. But also remember that sometimes there are things that you know to be right, don't give them up just yet. Take the new idea in and give it a chance and some time. The key is not to force it. Come into it knowing you don't know everything, but neither does the person teaching you.

This is a true story. A woman I used to date who is an atheist saw a Nativity display. She took one look at it, scoffed and said "That is so gay." Now, this is a woman who has a brother that is gay. Personally, I don't like comments like this because I think they are stupid and insensitive towards gay people. But what really strikes me is listening to so many of these atheists in the world who claim to be "open-minded" and "tolerant" yet they're the first ones to barge into your forum, your church or ministry shouting out at you because you're religious or spiritual. Yep, verrrry open-minded alright.

I also love it when they preach about the First Amendment and how it applies to them and their rights yet somehow that same privilege doesn't extend to those of us who believe that there is Freedom of Religion in the Constitution. Oh, sure, they don't mind if we pray out loud or silently. Just as long as we do it inside with the doors locked and so nobody outdoors can hear anything.

I'm not interested in converting anyone and I learned long ago that it was pointless and futile to even try it. But can somebody explain to me why some people feel it is their God-given right or science-given right to personally attack religious people for their beliefs? For some reason it's mostly the Christians that get attacked and very seldom is it any other religious group although they get attacked, too. If you don't like religion, fine. But coming to a religious message board or website to litter it with anti-religious propaganda and hate speech says more about you than anything you could ever say or think about religion and spirituality.

You are the ones always telling people how open-minded and tolerant you are. Prove it.
I think you are responding to real life and your friends have some real issues that have nothing to do with God. I woundering if she was blaming God that her brother is gay. how about his, last year, in inda's Orissa State, a year ago Hindos rited agant christians and killed 100 peopl3, burned 250 churches, 13 schools and 4,000 homesleaving 50,000 people displaced. In Mexco in Hidalgo and Oaxaca 57 evanglicials were expelled from there homes becuse thay did not wish to particapatein a drunken festable, inone town they were allowed back only if the denied there faith and payed 13,900 in fines. In Packistane Muslim mobs of over 1500 attacted and burned the homes of christians, killing 9 people one shot and 8 burned to death. Why "the blasphamed the Koran" like ya, they are as opposed as night and day.
sence 1960 the athiest have used the corts to make there religon the state religon, have gotten prayer, the Bible, and any trace of God removed from our school. one problem, respect for authority, the golden rule, and thoue shill not kill or steal are tought in the bible. To day our schools are a mess. how many shootings have happened? At one school the shooters asked the victums were christians befor they pulled the triger. Crime, chile abuse, domistic vilence, respect for others, the constution, down. Our childern are forced to learn Athist evelion that has no resumblence to science. And if a christian even hints that some one might go to hell they are labled intolerent.
The word it self means aganst God. these people hate God and wont nothing to do with him, and are willing to kill to all they need is the right conditions. Don't belive me just go down the post and read them.
