There is no doubt in my mind that the administration's long term policies would yield more individuals earning 6 figures than do at the present. i.e. strengthening the middle class in $$ and in numbers. The policy promotes more branching off into separate companies. Also hiring & internal investment when it makes sense in relation to tax liability.

Our future is going to be one that will include a more varied road to success.

We should embrace that as it is more in line with freedom.
I'm not sure how taxing the heck out of the rich will solve any of the economic troubles. What is the statistic now? The top 5% earners pay fully 60% of the taxes? That needs to be spread out a bit better among all income levels in my opinion. They are the ones who, many times, create the jobs for us middle income folks. They are the small business owners who probably put in 60+ hours a week getting to where they are now. So lets take more of their profits? It's a Robin Hood mentality, that's almost immoral.

If we are so against hierarchies as a nation then why do we have (especially since the industrial revolution) a history of systematically promoting an economic hierarchy that resembles a pyramid.

Corporate welfare heftily exceeds the dollars amount on any other type of welfare.

I really see your point being very short term as well. Our society would adapt to any such systemic changes which occur.

Are you looking at quality of life next year or 20 years from now? We are in it for the long haul after all.

Another point that I am not OK with is the fact that your wording appears to suggest that we should have policy that incentivises companies to offer employment as opposed to policy that incentivises the individual to support themselves.

The fact that our system over the last 90 years has highly promoted the situation that we are in now should not be ignored.

Why are we OK with the fact that we NEED government or corporations to act in order for 10 to 20 percent of us to fully engage in our economic process?

If lobbyists did not work to direct the flow of wealth then I might share any claim that any further direction of the flow of wealth was unfair.

Which act is distribution & which is redistribution?
