It's the rise of the yuan and the euro. We all saw it coming.

The article's got a bunch of speculation in it, so I'd question the accuracy, but you can't question the valid concerns.

China practically mandated Obama to hold that second stimulus package, but he released it anyway.

China doesn't like having its wealth tied up in USD, while holding such a large amount of our debt.

It's a business decision. There's no arguing that the American run is up, and that our borrowed wealth is quietly being sapped out before we go belly-up.

The main issue regarding the dollar I would think is that the government is printing it without limits.

The second issue is the government is spending it with wild abandonment.

The reasons are political, of course. The results will be personal, unfortunately.
