Elementary School Students Taught to Sing Praises of President Obama - Political News - FOXNews.com

Hey, guess you all missed this in the balanced news, eh.

See, there are some Jersey teachers replacing Jesus' name with Obama, and having their kids sing it loud, sing it proud.

The guy's a freaking genius. He'll be in office for the next 32 years, mark my words, and he'll hand over power to his soon-to-be-born son, Obama III.

Creepy how much people worship Obama. When we don't fear our leaders, we're doomed. All I can hope is that only 49% of Americans are idiots, and not 51%.

Figures it came from Fox "news. "

And how is it you figure President Obama is responsible for this?

And everyone who doesn't agree with you is an idiot? Wow. Just wow.

You got one thing right - though President Obama may not always be right and may make mistakes along the way (which he at least was man enough to admit was a distinct possibility from the get-go), he probably is a genius.

And after the bumbling idiot we had in there for the past 8 years, some republicans just can stand that.

Unfortunately he's keeping the same policies as the bumbling idiot.

Saul, could you imagine the outcry, the screaming outcry from the Left had children been singing in class such songs about George Bush? I weep, my friend, I weep for this nation.

Demagoguery, which is what the entire cult of Obama represents, is almost exclusively a product of the political left--and it has a dismal track record.

That's um, well, that's really freaking creepy.

I don't think we should sing praises towards anybody. Jesus cheats because he's a religious figure but normal humans shouldn't be on the receiving end of hymns of praise, I don't care if you're Obama or Ron Paul. I mean, really? I'm not blaming Obama, I'm just saying that was a really poor choice for the school. Period. Who in their right mind thought that was a good idea?

Oh, I forgot one person. The only other person you can sing praises to besides Jesus or a deity of your choice is Chuck Norris.

And He would have round-house kicked those teachers in the face for their blasphemy!

Yes, on this we can agree. My objection is to the way it is deliberately twisted in the subject line of this post into "Obama, going after our children: ON TAPE!" He's not even in the tape. I'm no lawyer, but isn't that what you call libel??

I'm not sure it quite fits the criteria for libel. It's a very difficult situation when we are talking about political speech, and, while strongly worded, Saul's post certainly can be considered political speech. When Kanye West said on national television that Geroge Bush "hates black people!," while objectionable to many people, and not neccessarily true, it certainly was not libel; it was a form of political speech based upon Mr West's perception of Bush's handling of the Katrina.disaster. Now, if Saul, for example, made the unsubstantiated claim that Obama is convicted pedophile unfit for office, that would be libelous. My calling Obama, for instance, a leftist and a closet Socialist is not libelous since it is subject to interpretation and falls into the rhealm of political speech., at least this is my understanding.

First of all, it's on tape...so you can't say they are lying.

Second, you are avoiding the issue. Genius or not, responsibility or not, I have a feeling that if this happened during Bush years you'd be hardly forgiving and you'd be calling out "fascism" every chance you can get.

It's not right to force politics on children. It's wrong. Schools should be a political neutral zone.

Oh, and it's all because some can't stand Obama, yeah that's it. (eyes rolling).

Another avoidance of the issue at hand...blaming Bush, blaming everything else but looking at the issue.

Figures it came from Fox "news. "
