Alec Baldwin: I'd like to run for Congress - Times Online

Geez. You guys have Alec Baldwin, Al Franken, and Sean Penn. Where the heck is Sean!

We have Chuck Norris, Bruce Willis, and even dead, Charlton Heston is both tougher and smarter than Al Franken.

I feel a bit prophetic. When I heard Al won, I said to my bro -- and this is last week, golfing, with bro and his co-worker, between tugs on stogies and Bud Lite -- "Next thing you know, Alec Baldwin'll be running!"

His buddy responded: "Yeah, these idgets'll vote in Toonces the Driving Cat before long."

We were both kidding, but a week later, mine rang true. Wonder if his prophecy is next...

Man oh man. Toonces 2012! GO DEMS!

Rowr...

I'd give Toonces credit for having more sense than some of the guys that are in Washington right now, and there are both Democrats and Rebublicans on that list..

Stupidity isn't restricted to just one party, and actors have got a right to run too. Remember, if you work hard enough you can accomplish anything you want, right? Why shouldn't these guys run if they they meet the qualifications?

Whether they win is another matter, but isn't that democracy?

If you don't like them, don't vote for them. *shrugs*

Congrats on being a self-proclaimed prophet. You go have fun with that.

After all, the first actor elected President was a Republican, saul; and I'm sure you think he did all right?

"Breaking news, this is Wolf Blitzer, the original Mr. Potato head [tone deaf too] talking to you from the situation room...we have a news alert. Tooncer the driving cat has decided to run for election...more news as it breaks.

Back to the show, will Alec Baldwin, if elected, support Fathers rights? Mr. Baldwin, you did write that book about your own harrowing divorce with false charges...."

*who is going to tell poor Wolf Blitzer he's not a General or Commander in his "situation" room?
