What can we gather from Putin's body language? I see his body language saying, "This guys and i d i o t, why am I here with this m o r o n." And Bush's is saying, "I can't wait to get that slip-n-slide in my presidential library!"

Loved it, dwr!
Egads I'm so sick of the redneck idget jokes.

Back at you.

I hear the presidentiallimo got new shocks and some purple running lights, and the knuckle-tap is the official "secret handshake" of the secret service.

BWAHAHAH! I'm so WITTY! I made a joke about Obama's stereotypical origins, because I couldn't argue the ISSUES!

Mods, if you get me -- which you will, and Lori, I'm sorry inadvance--get DW. Bigotry and stereotypes should cut both ways, as I've said OVER AND OVER AND OVER on this board. Mine was an INTENTIONALLY bigoted statement, aimed at an INTENTIONALLY bigoted statement.

Texas should secede, by God, and take our "idiot" president with us...

By the way, Putin's a strategic contact in Europe. He buffers Germany and France from China, REMEMBER. Shaking Putin's hand was a good and SMART thing.

Chavez, on the other hand, is about as legitimate as a cartel leader. Shaking Chavez's hand was a STUPID thing. Yes, Obama should have addressed Chavez in a cold manner, or, even better, BOYCOTT the summit if Chavez was going to be present.

Moron Bush my arse hurts. At least Bush knew his freakin enemies. Obama's full of flowers and sugar happy happy delusions.

Saudi Arabia eh? That's quite the role model for democracy. Bush's thoughts, "I know most of the terrorist support and supplies come from your country Mr Abdullah but niether of us like Iran so lets blame it on them." Smooch smooch.

I guess since Bush is shaking hands with Jintao he must be a communist. Look at the big ol' s-eatin grin on Bush's face, almost as if to say, "Thanks for loaing all that money." Almost looks like bush is getting ready to go down on Hu. Hu looks like he is zipping down his pants for Bush.

Ahhh, I love the smell of moral equivalence in the morning!

As unsavory as the individuals arewhich you were so helpful to post, I don't remember the destruction of the United States, and the living standard of the world, being any of their bellicoselyexpressed, and repeated, raison d'etre.

Bush was telling both of them the positions of our destroyers, subs, and carriers. These guys are legitimate world leaders in strategic nations. Both leaders can and DO have a great deal of impact on our nation's well-being.

Furthermore, though it bothered me, I was less concerned about O bowing to Abdulla. No big deal, it happens.

AGAIN, I say, Chavez is an illegitimate dictator, equivalent to a CARTEL DRUG LORD. Obama should never have been in the SAME ROOM as Chavez, or even the same convention.

No relevance at all.

Wait until we have a conference and O shakes hands with Ashisdfmhaid in Iran, and Israel freaks out.

Still, you got nothing.

Go ahead and make fun of Bush's accent and his down-home Texas grin again, call him a dolt. That's all you got.

Yeah let's make fun of diplomatic efforts in Latin America. Let's go back to the old methods like Iran-Contra drugs for arms, or isolation like Cuba, those ways really improved things.

And Vietnam's leader is legit?

All it is coming down to is right vs left with you. You will defend Bush to the d e a t h and fight Obama until the bitter end. It's simple as that. Bush did things I liked, he did things I didn't. Same with Obama. As long as you keep posting extreme right views I will keep countering them. Nothing personal.

President Obama was not my choice when he was elected. Hpwever, like a good American I said oh well, he won the election and he is now my President. Yaay Democracy. Said the same thing about Bush term 1, actually voted for Bush term 2 because I prefer to stick with the devil you know over the ketchup tyrant devil who is one of the richest men in government but tries to hide it and act like he knows how I live and feel. Plus Bush was not that bad of a president, not a great one, but not a bad one. He fits into the dross of leadership demonstrated by almost all of our presidents since pre-watergate Nixon.

Of course, since Watergate, the political system has become a media sideshow, and now the mainshow, and strong leaders don't sell, so the media ignores them. The country blindly follows suit, and instead of leaders we elect characters

Carter was a character, not a leader, Reagen was a character who looked like a leader, Bush SR had the chance to be a leader and instead decided to be a character, Clinton was a character, not a leader, Bush was Clinton minus the charisma and less wish washy when it came to decisions, and Obama is very much a media darling and a character.

I hoped Obama would live up to his hype though, because this country needs someone who can. So far though, he has signed off on clearly wasteful spending, and he is so damn ambitious with our tax dollars, which he doesn't actually have because he just borrowed even deeper then we already had to build windmills in the midwest, and then increase the demand on Ethenol. (It takes acres and acres and acres before windmill farms begin to even compete with what a Nuclear plant can kick out in a few ours or a coal plant can kick out in a day.) So this results in less corn being grown for the windmills. Since most corn goes to feeding animals, the corn that is left becomes less and less. Giving credits for ethenol production means it becomes more worthwhile to grow for fuel. This causes the price of corn to rise, and when farmers switch over to food production again, ethenol falls apart and government is either forced to spend more money or credit farmers more then market value on corn.

This is the kind of forecasting looking at history alone tells you. Most of Obama's supporters also do not remember Carter and even fewer bother to learn history. Carter had the same smile and be friendly approach and none of it helped us as a country. Obama needs to balance out his smile and handshakes with Teddy's big stick. People keep forgetting one half of that rule, they either speak softly, or they carry the big stick. If Obama wants to be the leader he thinks he is, he needs to pick up that damn stick.

He has four years to do it, and I am still helping out that he will surprise me. I'd rather be surprised and be wrong that prediction that he is going to do no better then Bush be wrong, then be right. Of course sentiments like this mean I get along with neither party. I don't like one parties Messiah, and I am not wishing for the other parties Messiah to be an abject failure. I'd prefer he succeeds, but I keep my expectations of presidents low, otherwise the crushing depression would be to much.
