When I was a Liberal in college, I was a student leader of the most radical student political group my freshman year. I was a feminist. I was also in the Student Govt (2 years) representing the widest variety of ethnic groups (the Spanish club, Latino Club, Chinese Club, Black Student Union, Conservation Club + religious affliliations Christian and Jewish-all sought me to represent them to get money from the Student Government.


We doled out 1 million a year & because of apathy, not many students really participated on the highest levels. It was sometime towards the end? of Freshman year when we debated the Young Republicans. The President there present a moderate (as opposed to other members) approach.


We became acquaintainces and the next year when he ran for Student Govt. President, he asked me to be his election campaign manager. I know mentioning this that today it's small potatoes. But it gave me first hand view of how both Liberals and Conservatives could work together if we respected each others views.


And in saying this, I publicly apologize to the word police for insulting them the last couple of weeks. Since this is devisive and not good for our Community, I pledge to stop (as much as I can) insulting word police. Without fair word police (ugg-hey I'm trying!) a website can deteriorate into name calling and chaos.


May we all be a little more sensitive to each other here. Thank you word police for your patience with me. I wish I could tell you why I had turned so bitter towards the word police starting eight years ago per some online experiences. Peace and all good energy.


PS: Kindly word police when the moderators delete my posts, please don't accuse me of doing such. I will endeavour to post slower so as to edit better the first time.

Simply for people to remember that this is a Republic and not a Democracy...a very big and distinct difference. We are a group of many different states, filled with people of different and sometimes constantly changing beliefs. Each state is equally represented...not one having more power over the other.


Agreeing to disagree, and then working togetheras our forefathers sat down and hashed out all those years ago. Simple reasoning, but like pulling teeth to try to talk with many folks about it. have an open mind and listen. Liberty is taken for granted now...but it cost us a heavy price to achieve. I sincerely hope we don't willy-nilly toss it aside, but we are fast pushing it towards a great abyss with no hope of it holding on.
